Training

Our training is aimed at teachers and was developed through a co-creation process, drawing on interviews with students and teachers, as well as the experiences of Positive Relationships at School (PROS) and the Clinical Psychology Research Group at KU Leuven.

What do you, as a teacher, need to continue investing in a positive teacher-student relationship? When emotions run high in the classroom, when young people display challenging behaviour, or when the dynamics of vulnerable students make relationships more difficult, it can be very challenging to be the teacher you want to be.

Curious about how mentalizing can support you in this?

A training spread over two half-days

In this training, you will learn what mentalizing means, why it may be relevant for you and your school, and how it can help you to understand interactions with socially vulnerable students. We will also take a closer look at our small-group booster sessions based on the PAUSE-framework.

This approach allows us to discuss challenging situations step by step in a safe and supportive environment. You will have the opportunity to talk and practise with colleagues, applying the knowledge in practical ways.
