Booster sessions
5 small-group booster sessions
Small-group booster sessions at school (4 to 5 teachers), organised and facilitated by a staff member from Keeping You(th) in Mind, for two class hours over the course of a single school semester.
By exploring an unpleasant feeling or a difficult moment together in depth using the PAUSE-framework, you create mental space to step back into your teaching role with an open mind and increased self-confidence. During the booster sessions, specific experiences are shared and explored with strict confidentiality, always with the same group of colleagues. The aim is to get your relationship with a young person or with a class back on track.

3 core principles
-
Strengthening teachers’ capacity to mentalize through training and peer consultation. What do teachers need after heated arguments or in highly challenging relationships? How can they remain present in those relationships and continue to think clearly?
-
Creating teams in which teachers can support one another and, where needed, help restore each other’s capacity to mentalize so they can find new perspectives again in challenging situations.
-
Providing time and space for teachers to shape this vision and structure together (during school hours).
